'Be Still'

'Be Still'
'Be Still And Know That He is God'
Symbolism: The Dove is the Holy Spirit. The shadow of wings is the covering of His love. The seat is a place waiting for you to occupy it. The Lily in the pool is the purity of Jesus. The trees are the 'Mighty One's' who watch over you.

YOU ARE INVITED TO ENTER IN!

There is a place, a tranquil, still place right in God's heart. He invites you to come and sit awhile and meditate, listening for His still small voice. Over you are the wings of God, shadowing and covering your life as you sit on the seat prepared for you. The world around is full of trauma and confusion, but in the midst of it all you can find Him and gaze awhile on His beauty and experience His peace.

Let Him!

I had a few troubled hours in the night recently. Have you noticed that things loom dark and large in the early hours? I though of Jesus needing to slip out at night, away from His disciples and talk to His Father about some decisions and matters weighing heavily upon Him. So I was encouraged that He also had sleepless nights and knew the pressure I felt. I tried to pray but it did not seem to help! Eventually that verse ' Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart' Col 3:15 came to my mind. So I put my worries on hold and started to think of scriptures that pursuaded me that He was close even if I did not feel it. Then came 'Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly' Col 3: 15 to my thoughts, and it is so true, because I was able to draw out of my mind verses and promises that I had put there over the years. So I meditated on these.
Slowly I felt less stressed and then found that I was able to tell Jesus all about my problems and asked Him to show me a way through as I had some decisions to make. Eventually I went to sleep and felt at peace knowing that He was now responsible for all that I had committed to Him. Next morning a thought slipped into my mind about how to solve this situation, and without the confusion that had been blinding me, I tackled it and it worked!
